went to the movies-comic-media expo in london yesterday
was a hell of a lot of fun - my first proper expo
the cosplay people looked awesome - wish I'd bothered to put some effort in and made a costume, but yesterday was boiling in london so perhaps it was for the best :D

a gay club in the city is re-opening and they're having a complete image change

and i've been approached to run an 'alternative' night there


so I'm asking for some name suggestions


something witty or with a pun maybe

Cardiff has a night like it, called Hell's Bent

so was wanting to see what you guys would consider a good name for an "alternative" music night t a gay club

so far I haven't quite decided on the musical genres I'll be playing
but as it stands it'll primarily be rock/indie/electro/punkrock with touches of emo/ska/industrial/big beat/metal

essentially splitting standard alternative music with alternative dance (gotta keep the fags happy)

The club was called Hush, I think it's staying the same too.

i've always wanted to teach people
i'm a vegetarian
i love to cook
simple, teach people how to cook vegetarian foods

i was inspired last year by the Post Punk Kitchen
a web-based vegan cookery show
and my favourite cookery book, Vegan with a Vengence

so that's what i've been doing, planning a veggie food cookery show for youtube
today i'm running a trial
and as we speak, my Worcester and Black Olive bread is resting prior to being baked

by someone I've soooort of known for a few years
these are pictures of me back when I was 17/18 or so?

I've decided to colour my hair again

back when I was younger, in my punkier/gothier days I used to dye my hair all the time
I have literally been EVERY colour
or at least one shade of each colour

dark red, bright red, burgundy, cosmic blue, bright blue (didn't last very long), teal, aqua, several shades of green, including lime, yellow, orange, magenta, bubblegum pink, white, black, grey, several shades of brown, blonde, and many varying shades of purple
I've also been gold and silver, though they weren't permanent dies

and as you can imagine, all of that colouring kind of killed my hair a bit
but it's been at least a year now and my hair's health is back to full health,
I want to re-colour it


any suggestions?
I've not been ginger
I'm not planning on it either
