I hate the bloodey things, but I have to write one for my Poetry module, on the subject of 'Love'

here's my first draft-

Ode To An Everyday Love

The busy road outside hushedly roars,
The street light gives his skin an orange hue,
His chest rises and falls with gentle snores;
I lie awake and wonder what to do.

Our future plans don’t seem to coincide,
I worry that this love’s not meant to last.
Internal urges cannot be denied,
But life alone looks empty, dull and vast.

I briefly glimpse endearing, crooked teeth,
He turns to me with incoherent sounds,
His calloused hands remind me what’s beneath
Pointless distress; his gentle arms surround

Me. Soon I join his peaceful slumbering:
The future need not be encumbering.

went in to uni today (a new one) to enroll. 4 different people came up to me saying things like 'oh hi aren't you splash, I know....' or 'hey aren't you that DJ guy?'

one guy. no, one GOD, came up to me and said "sorry to disturb you, but aren't you off ladslads? I've aregued with you on your blog over something silly before"

I went to clean out my mouse cage about an hour ago,
and noticed the white one (called michael jackson) was a bit hyperactive and the back one (also michael jackson but female) was much skinnier.
when I moved the lid off their house, I was happy to find 10 baby mice!

went to the movies-comic-media expo in london yesterday
was a hell of a lot of fun - my first proper expo
the cosplay people looked awesome - wish I'd bothered to put some effort in and made a costume, but yesterday was boiling in london so perhaps it was for the best :D

a gay club in the city is re-opening and they're having a complete image change

and i've been approached to run an 'alternative' night there


so I'm asking for some name suggestions


something witty or with a pun maybe

Cardiff has a night like it, called Hell's Bent

so was wanting to see what you guys would consider a good name for an "alternative" music night t a gay club

so far I haven't quite decided on the musical genres I'll be playing
but as it stands it'll primarily be rock/indie/electro/punkrock with touches of emo/ska/industrial/big beat/metal

essentially splitting standard alternative music with alternative dance (gotta keep the fags happy)

The club was called Hush, I think it's staying the same too.
