I heaved a sigh and opened my eyes
Not much has changed since the last time
I pause and shudder, then utter a gasp
Alas, this breath shall not be my last
And so I smile and practice a laugh
No cracks may show within my mask
I'll dance and sing, you'll never know
What lies inside, when my eyes are closed
