Welcome to Under the Crescent Moon

Here is a wiki strictly for the sake of Wicca. Hopefully I can pass my knowledge of the religion on to you. In the virtual book of shadows I will include spells, rituals, and information about the religion itself. There will be information on the different sects of Wicca and whether or not you need to be initiated into that specific sect. Note that this wiki is information I have taken from years of study and personal experience. A lot of this information has come strait from My own personal book of shadows, and may have some more personal spells and rituals included. This wiki is not for people who wish only personal gain. And always remember the Wiccan Rede, which states, "Do What Thou Wilt As Long As It Harms None," and the Threefold Law, which states, "Whatever You Do Will Come Back To You Three Times Three Times Three." Also be sure to visit the Witchy Piccy wiki.

The terms witch and wicca come from the Anglo-Saxon word wicce (pronounced wee-cha, with a soft cha), which means "wise" or "to bend or shape," particularly the bending and shaping of unseen forces. According to this religion there is no Devil.

The most important tenets of Wicca is known as the Wiccan Rede: Do What Thou Wilt As Long As It Harms None, And the Threefold Law: Whatever You Do Comes Back To You Three Tomes Three Times Three. Wiccans believe that we are a part of the harmony and rhythm of nature, that there is a necessary balance between dark and light, and that changing cycles of birth, death, and rebirth exist. We are merely an extension of the natural world, no more or less than trees, and stars. Wicca teaches that the same life force pulses through every rock, flower, person, animal, mountain, and body of water. Energy or light come from the same source.

Wicca is a nature based spirituality, followers live in tune with nature. Wiccans follow the cycles of the moon and the seasons and live in accordance with the natural rhythm of life.
