So it's been a long ass time since I've been online. Not gonna be on much now either but I'll try to check every now and then. I'm back in Texas. Nothing much else. For my degree in law enforcement about 2yrs ago. Still gaming every now and then both on PC and my 360.


One fine day in the middle of the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight.
Back-to-back they faced one another,
Drew their swords and shot each other.
One was blind and the other couldn't see,
So they chose a dummy for a referee.
A blind man went to see fair play,
A dumb man went to shout "hooray!"
A deaf policeman heard the noise,
And came and shot the two dead boys.
A paralysed donkey walking by,
Kicked the copper in the eye,
Sent him through a rubber wall,
Into a dry ditch and drowned them all.

I clutche the cross hanging on my chain next to my dog tags.

You talk trash about your "buddies" that aren't with you.

I know I may not see some of my buddies again.

You walk down the beach, staring at all the pretty girls.

I patrol the streets, searching for insurgents and terrorists.

You complain about how hot it is.

I wears my heavy gear, not daring to take off my helmet to wipe my brow.

You go out to lunch, and complain because the restaurant got your order wrong.

I didn't get to eat today.

Your maid makes your bed and washes your clothes.

I wear the same things for weeks, but I make sure my weapons are clean.

You go to the mall and get your hair redone.

I didn't have time to brush my teeth today.
__________________________

You're angry because your class ran 5 minutes over.

I'm told I'll be held over an extra 2 months.

You call your girlfriend and set a date for tonight.

I wait for the mail to see if there is a letter from home.

You hug and kiss your girlfriend, like you do everyday.

I hold my letter close and smell my love's perfume.

You roll your eyes as a baby cries.

I get a letter with pictures of my new child, and wonders if we'll ever meet

You criticize your government, and say that war never solves anything.

I see the innocent tortured and killed by their own people and remember why I'm fighting.

You hear the jokes about the war, and make fun of men like me.

I hear the gunfire, bombs and screams of the wounded.
__________________________

You see only what the media wants you to see.

I see the broken bodies lying around me.
__________________________

You are asked to go to the store by your parents. You don't.

I do exactly what I'm told.

You stay at home and watch TV.

I take whatever time I am given to call, write home, sleep, and eat.

You crawl into your soft bed, with down pillows, and get comfortable.

i try to sleep but get woken by mortars and helicopters all night long.

You sit there and judge me, saying the world is probably a worse place because of men like us.
