i don't think what christians believe is silly, it is what has got them through the last 2000 years xD it has the power to support people through alot more than they believe they can on account of they feel like they will always have something to look forward too, ie-paradise, sitting on the right hand side of god, miricles etc.

While I have no problems with TRUE Christians I hate those who pretend to be Christian and treat others like crap because they aren't or use it to hide their own sins. Same goes for any religion.
On that thought...I found talking to a friend of mine that while she was very christian she accepted the possibility that she was wrong. We agreed that going to heaven or hell was all in how you treated others...

Tora: I agree with you as well...the ones that stick to their faith like a second skin are okay to hang out with as they are secure with themselves and aren't bothered by other religions. The ones that get under my skin are the ones that look down upon others for making the same mistakes they have or are doing as well. And on your second thought: I agree...how you treat others as well as yourself. If you treat yourself wonderfully but treat others like crap...it's not looking good for you. BUT if you treat yourself horribly, then I don't think it would be possible to treat others well also. So I think the key is...treat others how you would treat yourself. That way, since you aren't going to constantly kick yourself in the ass in some way, you are treating others quite decently.

Yeah its never the religion itself is those involved in the religion in the first place and their willingness / or unwillingness to allow the possibility that the person in question may be wrong in some things and correct in others. Honestly if you do the research you'll find how several religions have a similiar structure / code / rules i.e like the ten comandents etc.
Its just those which make up the religion who can't even think they could be incorrect, no matter if like the ratio was 1% in them being wrong they'd still raise all hell at that tiny of a figure. It's the thought of you CAN'T be wrong thats one of the main conflicts and problems. I think this goes back to I don't know when.
