I've spent my life trying to make people happy
only to find that it gets thrown back in my face
so I've spent the last month or so
trying to make myself happy
I've gone out a lot
tried enjoying myself
got things off my chest
and for once tried doing things for me
and I don't like it
it's not working
I don't feel like me
which sucks
so I guess I'll just go back to normal
the friend, the helper,
the buyer, cooker, cleaner, driver
because acting like a maid
at least makes me feel I'm of use
to somebody
anybody
eventhough I'm rarely thanked
it's what I'm used to
